So we've finally reached the climax of what has been the most interesting, yet controversial F1 season in many years. Having seen Kimi come so close to the title on 2 occasions however, I'm glad to see him finally clinch it.

Ill on schedule
It's about the time of year where I seem to almost predictably get ill, not helped by the fact that I haven't really been looking after myself for the last few weeks, and the stress that's gone with it. Hopefully a diet of hot dogs, Tropicana and NCIS season 2 should remedy things.
Meanwhile I think I'll pass out again...
Watching... NCIS
“The Beat Goes On”
Nothing out-of-the-ordinary in this one for me personally, other than the eventual inclusion of wireless iTunes purchasing (which I guess is good for people who use the iTunes store...) and (RED) iPod Shuffle which is tempting. I don't know who drew the concept for the new iPod Nano though, as it looks horrible! I really liked the first two designs, but why they made it stubby I don't know.
Student Records
After spending far too much time in Enterprise Manager and working out how the cryptic entity-relationship diagram matched up, my work on Somerville College's Student Records system is complete. I was due to work until release but the other developer on the project exceeds my ability and I conceded that my input to the project was gradually decreasing, as I only developed the backend scripting. I...
Sniffles
Well I think this weekend has just about summed up how "summer's" been this year in England... lousy. Despite a valiant and pretty fun day of trying to get the most out of the weather, we spent most of the day damp and cold looking for things to do; which also explains why I'm ill. I'm definitely not going to venture out in the hope of catching some sun again lets put it that way!
Certification
After many weeks of putting it off since I suggested it to my boss, I finally sorted out the certification I'm going to try for later in the year. It's not everything I want to learn but it's the most important stuff I think towards my career at this stage, plus it's proof I can do what I say I can! One of them's easy but the other two are going to be quite hard, but today I realised that it's...
Virtualisation squabbles
As has been the case for some time, XenSource (vendors of Xen) are complaining that VMWare stunts the growth of virtualisation because of it's cost. Not because of the monopoly maybe?
Apple updates
In the midst of all my work and play, I thought that given all the rumours of the Mac Mini being discontinued I'd grab myself one from the Apple Store while they were still available. Couple weeks of a media centre for my TV and I was laughing...
Headlines
I think I've just about recovered from the music festival I went to at the weekend now, as 5 days camping, drinking and not sleeping seemed to take a bit more of a toll on me than I first imagine! Still it was something I'd always wanted to do, and having experienced the mudbath that was caused by the recent downpours in England I shant be in a rush back to any; the music and atmosphere was...
